Caleshia's journey with Beltline Health has been nothing short of life-changing. Through her dedication and the support of the Beltline Health team, she achieved incredible milestones that once felt out of reach. She went from wearing a size 30/32 to confidently fitting into a size 6, a transformation that reflects both her hard work and improved health. Beyond the numbers, Caleshia regained the freedom to fully enjoy life again—even accomplishing something as adventurous as going zip lining. I have lost 137 pounds! I am working to lose about 60 more pounds. I was very fortunate to not have any medications that were related to my weight. However, my quality of life was non-existent. I was unable to walk more than 100 yards. I could not grocery shop, go out socially, do any activities with my kids, or grandkids. I moved into our guestroom on the main floor because I could not climb the steps to our bedroom. I rarely left my room, let alone my home. Last Summer I was able to participate in and finish a 5k walk in London. I had to stop once do to sciatic pain, but pushed thru it and finished! I will be walking in the same 5K this July both in London and Detroit. I am so excited! This walk is held yearly and it is in honor of soldiers who lost their battle with PTSD. Our son, Zane, is a soldier that is honored in this race. I can finally honor Zane's memory by walking proudly and finishing! I travel as much as I like. Spending time with my grandbabies is priceless. If I had not had this surgery, I know I would not be alive today.
